Dogs are just not good companions to us but also great protectors. They have developed protective instincts. They never doubt to make heroic steps when danger threatens their owners.
Lately, a man was rescued by his protective dog from a venomous snake attack.
Zachary Pate from Alabama shared a post about an incident of an incredible rescue story. “Ruger saved me a hospital trip maybe even my life,” Pate wrote.
He explained that Ruger had never bitten him before but on that day he was aggressive. The dog wrapped around the leg of its owner, harming him.
When Pate looked down to calm his friend he understood that Ruger was actually protecting him from a big copperhead snake.
These species are venomous and people need special treatment after being injured. Sometimes they may die.
Pate was so thankful for the heroic act of his dog that saved him from a trip to the hospital.
Luckily, both the owner and the pet avoided the snake without any injuries. Yet, the man had a bleeding cut that happened by chance when the dog was pulling him away.
The owner is glad that the cut was caused by Ruger that is nothing but a hero.
He thinks the doggie deserves the award of the best dog of the year as he remembers the incident with tears in his eyes!
