Lately, more and more people are realizing that pets are more than just a company, they are real family members and, as such, they must be loved and respected.
Some manage to take this noble teaching to a higher level by giving their four-legged friends very special attention, often maternal (or paternal) and very tender.
An example is the recent video of a father walking his son and his dog, which immediately went viral on TikTok.
One day like the others, motorists waiting at red lights witnessed a rather unusual scene: a Pit Bull dog walking down the street in the arms of his master, as if he were a child. The dog was happy to be carried, while the man meanwhile held the hand of his son, who followed him walking assiduously.
The scene did not leave passers-by indifferent, since one of them could not resist the temptation to take out his smartphone and record what was happening. The video was posted on TikTok with the following ironic caption: «When the priority is your dog, not your child». The footage quickly reached thousands of views and comments.
The episode happened in a neighborhood of Mexico City: the dog was not on a leash, so it is assumed that its owner decided to wear it to avoid it coming into contact with people passing by or reacting defensively. Another theory is that the dog was in pain and that this prevented him from walking, or simply to prevent him from burns due to the high temperature of the sidewalk.
It is precisely for this reason that the vast majority of users admired the gesture of the dad, who certainly did not neglect his son by taking him by the hand to prevent him from getting lost. «It’s not about priorities, it’s called empathy, I would do the same, my dogs are also part of the family,» commented one woman.
