The dog became a mother for small opossums and rolls them on her back.

These tiny opossums from Rio de Janeiro were orphaned after their mother was gnawed by a dog.The babies were picked up by dog trainer Stephanie Maldonado,but very soon it became clear that the cubs are so small that most likely they simply will not survive without a mother.

Then one of Stephanie’s pets,a dog named Pretigne,came to the rescue.She literally went out of the kids-possums and very soon they began to climb on her back,considering them their mother.Since then,they’ve been walking together.

«It was very joyful to see how she took care of them,licked them all the time and nested with them.»

Stephanie plans to let the cubs go free when they grow up.
